I am surprised you really had the struggles that you did. As a first year teacher I wasn’t EVEN thinking about leading but very soon after I was looked at as “new blood.” I find teachers in our school need to band together as much as possible and the positive people need to take the reins of many staff room conversations. Don’t give up! You sound like a wonderful addition to our profession!
